Lever Ayush is a recently launched ayurvedic brand in India. I wanted to try this range ever since I saw it’s advertisement saying it is derived from ayurvedic secrets written 5000 years ago, which treats skin and hair problems caused by modern lifestyle and pollution. Since, it was not available in stores of Delhi and NCR I didn’t get a chance to try them out,but when I came to Bangalore few days back, I saw that it was readily available in every other shop. I thought to give the face wash a try. It offers two varieties of facewash. One is the anti-pimple turmeric face wash while the other is Natural Fairness Saffron Face Wash. I picked up the latter because I have dry skin and felt this one would suit me better.

Ayush Natural Fairness face wash comes in tube packaging which is off-white and light brown in color. There is no outer carton box however. On the front side it has Ayush logo with a bowl of saffron which looks pretty appealing. Behind the tube, there is also other necessary information. It is quite a big tube and it would be difficult to be carried around in the handbag.
My experience with the product:
The face wash is off white in color and has a creamy texture, it lathers very well and I just need a little quantity for my face. It doesn’t smell anything like an ayurvedic product but instead like any other ordinary soap 🙁 Although I am not into fairness products, what tempted me to buy was the presence of Kumkumadi tailam in it. kumkumadi thailam is very good in reducing acne scars and other blemishes. I wanted to fade a few acne scars/dark spots I have, so got this for myself and it also claims for golden glow. Who doesn’t want a glow to otherwise dull looking skin in summer?
As I work the product on my face and wash-off , It gives a fresh, radiant & clean look, I must say it removes every trace of oil and dirt on face. Good part is it does not dry out my skin. For everyday use it is perfectly fine.
I have been using it for few days now and can say that it is like a very normal and regular face wash which does it’s job well. Although it imparts freshness to your face, you expect something more, when you see rare ingredients like kumkumadi thailam in it. I didn’t notice a remarkable difference in acne scars, blemishes and of course, I don’t believe any product for fairness claims. But for the given price, it certainly performs better. My Rating: 4/5
Ayush natural fairness saffron face wash is overall a good product. It cleanses skin well and also imparts a fairness to the skin which lasts for sometime. It definitely cleans pores well and keeps pimples at bay. Do not expect miracle from it by looking at overly-hyped TV commercial, It does not do much to fade acne scars and blemishes. But you definitely get a fresh glow which lasts temporary. You can try it once if you wish to, it comes at an affordable price range too and has suited my normal-dry skin very well. A pretty decent face wash I must say !
