Aloe veda aloe vera nourishing skin gel | Review

I know most of you have found aloe vera gel as a HG skincare product. But, I am yet to find a perfect aloe vera gel for my normal-dry skin that is also prone to hormonal acne. I have tried many brands of aloe vera gels to soothe my acne but I am still not satisfied with many of them. Last week, I came across an aloe vera gel from the brand “Aloe veda”.  The main purpose I was tempted to buy Aloe veda aloe vera gel was, its label reads… It is made of aloe vera plants grown without the use of pesticides and is of highest quality and no added preservatives. It also says it is enriched with green tea extracts and vitamin E. Moreover it was very affordable, I was sure tempted to buy Aloe veda aloe vera gel. Now lets see how it perfomed.

Aloe veda aloe vera gel is renowned for its incredible soothing, hydrating and moisturizing properties. Suits all skin types.

INR 90 /- for 125gm, It is available in stores, supermarkets and also on online shopping portals.

The packaging of Aloe veda aloe vera gel is pretty simple. It comes in a plain transparent plastic tub with white plastic screw cap.The gel further secured with a thin aluminium film. The packaging is not so heavy and is even travel friendly.

MY TAKE ON THE ” Aloe veda aloe vera gel “

The aloe veda aloe vera gel is made with so much goodness of green tea extracts and vitamin E. It is made of pesticide free aloe vera plants and it also had no preservatives in it.  But what disappointed me about Aloe veda aloe vera gel was, it has a strong bitter fragrance. I can relate it’s smell being similar to men’s shaving products. (Even more stronger and bitter kind) skin care products with artificial fragrance are a big “No” for acne-prone skin.

The gel is light green colored and spreads easily, It has small white beads which are said to be of vitamin E. They appear powdery when crushed. So we have to be careful to blend everything well. It surely is hydrating enough for the skin and it even mattify the skin texture. I liked how it absorbs into the skin. But, the bitter smell is the biggest turn off for me.  Maybe I will just stick around to my The Face Shop bamboo gel. Read review here

  • The gels hydrates and mattifies the skin.
  • Made of aloe vera plants that are grown without the use of pesticides
  • Preservative-free
  • It is easily available in the stores
  • Very affordable
  • Enriched with green tea extracts and vitamin E beads

  • Has a very strong bitter fragrance
  • I did not like the powdery beads also.

Even though Aloe veda aloe vera gel is infused with green tea extracts and vitamin e, It has a strong bitter synthetic fragrance. If you do not mind the fragrance you can try it out for its hydrating and mattifying effect. But, the gel didn’t suit my normal-dry and acne prone skin because of its strong fragrance. I do not recommend this if you have similar skin type as mine. Otherwise, you can buy it for all the goodness ingredients it has in it.
